Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the Terms and Conditions) apply when you make an accommodation booking with Du Nord Ski Club Inc (ABN: 52 448 720 711) (Association No: A0028131C) trading as Du Nord Ski Club (we, us, our). By confirming an accommodation booking with us you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, which apply to you, your booking party and your guests.

Accommodation payments and deposits

1. 1 When making a booking you will need to pay a deposit of 50% of the total booking cost and this payment will be required within 36 hours of you making your booking confirmation.


1. 2 The balance of the booking cost will be required as per the due date on the invoice that has been issued to you. All payments are due in full before lodge entry will be provided. The booking invoice will be emailed to you and will include payment options.


1. 3 Should full payment not be received by the date shown on your invoice, your booking may be cancelled, and a cancellation fee will apply. Please refer to the cancellation and refunds section below.


1. 4 Short-notice bookings will require payment in full when making your booking. Payment can be done either by direct funds transfer or via PayPal.

Arrival and Departure Times

 

2. 1 Arrival time for all Members and Guests is 5pm on any given day.


2. 2 Departure time for all Members and Guests is 3pm on any given day.


2. 3 A weekend booking will be from 5pm on Friday evening until 3pm on Sunday of that same weekend. This will be a two-night booking. One-night weekend bookings are not available in peak times due to popular demand.


2. 4 A one-night booking will be from 5pm on any given day, until 3pm the following afternoon. Should you decide not to arrive on the evening prior, and arrive on the morning of your booking, the fee will remain the same, as will the departure time of 3pm that same day.

Cancellations, Refunds and Re-scheduling
 

3. 1 Should you cancel your booking within 15 days of your booked arrival date, a 100% cancellation fee will apply. You will not be eligible for any refund.


3. 2 Should you cancel your booking between 30 and 16 days prior to your booked arrival date, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. You will receive a refund of 50% of your total booking amount less any PayPal fees.


3. 3 Should you cancel your booking 31 days or more prior to your booked arrival date, a 25% cancellation fee will apply. You will receive a 75% refund of your total booking amount less any PayPal fees.


3. 4 Payment of your deposit will be taken as acceptance of this booking and cancellation policy.


3. 5 In the event you choose to cancel your booking due to weather or environmental conditions (for example insufficient snow fall) please note that you will not be eligible for a refund. The aforementioned conditions and events are a natural occurrence and beyond the control of the accommodation providers in the Mt Baw Baw resort. Du Nord Ski Club is an all-year-round accommodation provider and this cancellation policy applies at all times of the year, including snow season and green season.


3. 6 If you have booked accommodation at our lodge and have done so via a third party booking service then the booking terms and conditions of that third party will apply to your booking. In the event that the aforementioned third party’s terms and conditions omit certain of our terms and conditions or do not accord with our terms and conditions, then our terms and conditions will prevail.


3. 7 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions has the effect of excluding, restricting or modifying a Consumer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), or any other statutory rights which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. However, where the Australian Consumer Law permits a supplier to limit its liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, we limit our liability in the case of accommodation services to the supplying of those services again.

Amenities and facilities


4. 1 All guests booked into self-catering accommodation are required to supply their own bedding and linen.

 

4.2 You agree to pay and be responsible for any damage or losses caused to the lodge facility as a result of any action by you or your group, guests and invites, and you will immediately notify us of any such damage or loss.

4.3 Accommodation is to be left in a clean and tidy condition by checkout. In the event that you leave dishes unwashed, rubbish lying around and bathrooms unclean, a cleaning fee may be charged. You agree to refer to your End of Stay Checklist and abide by signage posted around the lodge that provides guidance on your responsibilities.

4.4 All accommodation at Mt Baw Baw is smoke free. In the event that guests smoke or allow others to smoke inside the lodge, a cleaning charge of $300 shall be charged to the guests account.

​

4.5 No pets or domestic animals are allowed in the Mt Baw Baw resort, by order of the Victorian Government. Pets are not permitted in the ski lodge. Service dogs are permitted and welcome.

4.6 Further to Section 11 of Public Health and Well-being Regulations 2020 and to comply with our occupancy limits each child aged 4 years and above is required to have their own bed.

Privacy


5. 1 We may collect certain personal information during the booking process to process your enquiry and manage your accommodation reservation. Our Privacy Statement explains: how we handle personal information; who we may need to share your information with; and the circumstances in which we may send your information overseas.

 

5.2 Our Privacy Statement also explains how you can seek to access or correct any personal information we hold about you, how to complain about a privacy breach and how we will deal with a privacy complaint. You can contact us by using the Contact form on our website. By placing a booking enquiry and providing us with your personal information, you agree that we may use your personal information as described in these Terms and Conditions and in our Privacy Statement.

Severability


6. 1 Each clause in these Terms and Conditions is severable from the others and if one found to be unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of the others.

Governing law


7. 1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the State of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions


8. 1 We may vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time by publishing an updated version on our website. The updated version will apply to all booking enquiries made after the date on which the updated version is published on our website.​

We do not accept any liability for loss or damages incurred by you as a result of your reliance on this information. While we make every effort to ensure that the site content is kept up to date, you agree that some of the information on this web site refers to alpine facilities, services and events that are not managed or provided by us and are beyond our control.
