Du Nord Ski Club is a traditional ski lodge located at the heart of the Mt Baw Baw Village Alpine Resort in the stunning Victorian Alps.

Now in our 60th year, we offer affordable self-catered accommodation in a spacious and welcoming environment that's perfect for families, groups or school trips.

We are a not-for-profit member-run lodge that's open to the public, and we like to think of our club as a home away from home for all our guests.

The lodge is available for bookings all year round.

Outside of our busy bustling snow ski season, we also host a number of events in the warmer months of green season. These include bushwalking trips, music weekends, Christmas in July, motorcycle weekends and MTB activities.

About Mt Baw Baw
Mt Baw Baw is a mountain summit on the Baw Baw Plateau of the Great Dividing Range. It is located in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia and the name is from the Yarra-Yallou, Gunna-Kurnai people of Gippsland.
The mountain is one of a number of peaks on the Baw Baw Plateau, which extends across some 200 km².
Nearby summits include Mt St Phillack and Mt St Gwinear. The plateau itself is isolated from most of Victoria's high country by the deep valleys of the Thomson and Aberfeldy rivers.

Situated about 120km east of Melbourne, and about 70km due north of Moe, Mt Baw Baw's Alpine Resort is Melbourne’s closest downhill ski resort.
This popular destination offers a fun, safe and affordable snow experience through winter as well as endless hours of outdoor adventure all year round.
Mt Baw Baw boasts over 35 hectares of downhill ski terrain, seven lifts, three terrain parks, 10km of cross country trails, as well as three snow play areas and unlimited terrain amongst the snow gums to explore.
The Baw Baw Alpine Village provides accommodation, food outlets, retail, medical and information centres, as well as ski hire in the winter months.
All these facilities are within easy walking distance of the car parks, and make the resort an ideal base for exploring the mountain and surrounding area.
Already renowned as an exciting family-friendly destination during the snow season, Baw Baw's green season visitors can discover the magic that emerges during the warmer months as the mountain slopes come alive with spectacular wildflowers.
And when high summer comes, and Victoria swealters in the stifling heat, those who have escaped to the Baw Baw Plateau can enjoy the subalpine ecosystem of eucalypt and tall forest, and the creek valleys of cool temperate rainforest and myrtle beech.
Walking trails around Baw Baw Village link with a wider network of trails within the Baw Baw National Park and connect with further bushwalking and alpine camping options on the Australian Alps Walking Track (Great Alpine Walking Trail).
And if walking is not for you, Mt Baw Baw already has a great reputation for summertime adventures – boasting a national standard downhill mountain biking trail, plus miles of cross-country trails with natural features to challenge the best.

Always a great stay, and the accommodation is cosy and relaxing. We go ski season, and also for alpine walking in the summer months. Nice big spacious kitchen, great for cooking. Five stars review! We'll certainly be coming back!

Easter at Du Nord was perfect. Weather great for walking and mountain biking. Very peaceful and the recent upgrades were welcomed with new beds and kitchen improvements. Dinner at the restaurant was a welcome way to watch the sun go down.

Plenty of snow. A bit icy but still good enough for ski adventures. Village Central does the best hoc choc … and we thank our generous housemates for giving us turkey, christmas pudding, bacon and eggs during the best Christmas in July ever.
